Spanish photographer José Aragón documents two Japanese subcultures using a contemporary approach that incorporates shibari. The Amas, a symbol of independence, challenged traditional roles with their connection to the sea. The Oiran, in contrast, embodied courtly sophistication. Shibari unites these visions in an exploration of the body, identity, and tradition. After fifteen years in Japan, Aragón presents images that contrast physical endurance and emotional engagement, engaging past and present in a dialogue.

Together, we curated two unique collections that blend the rich legacy of engraved British heritage armour with cutting-edge, futuristic fabrics, as well as an ornate Matador concept.
